If you read this link you will see that MySpace has announced a casual game space “which will enable MySpace users to choose from hundreds of online casual games to play with friends in the community.”
While I am no MySpace fan (gawd, I hate the edit-able page layouts) this will no doubt be a huge hit. Casual users + casual games + huge member “base” = $$$$.
While this bring in another ridiculous load of Match-3 clones, I do think this can easily bring in loads of eyes to the indie industry. People who might not have known that a whole realm of 2D games exist, might perhaps venture beyond the cesspool of clones and into indie-dom.
This is goood.
