This past week or 2 (after releasing a RT2 beta) everywhere), I got lots of comments about the graphics and how I could change it. (Excuse the breaking of the blog-lines.)
So, here is the beta screenie:

This is how it looked… Quite-dullish and poo-like.

So I experimented a lot with fake 3D walls that point to the edges of the screen. It was much better received, but I did not quite like it…

So… It looks “better” but not the best. Since Roach Toaster 2 is all wacky and such, I thought I’d try to go for a crazy cartoony look (getting there). This is what I produced. I like this!

It was cool, but still not teh_Awesome! So hey, I thought lets mix a and b.

So now it has semi-3D walls complete with cheesy sprites. I think this is the best.
