Shotbeak Games

Goals

January 11th, 2007

Continuing after my previous blog, I thought I would tell you more about Shotbeak Games.

Shotbeak Games is a one-man band (thus far) that started in late 2005. I started developing games late 2004 with Crypticcer. It was awesome seeing these creations come to life and people actually enjoying it!

 After the success of Roach Toaster, I knew I had to get it some more exposure, so I thought I would get my own site… Then I had to come up with a name:

Fusion Electro Games? No way…
Ultra Platinum Games? Hahaha.. no.

I needed something catchy, something original. My naming convention as you might know is a bit strange. I couldn’t find anything until we went on a hunting trip. While I was practicing some shooting, I accidently shot the beak off of a little innocent bird.

I felt so insanely guilty, I had to dedicate something to this little bird… It was catchy and the name stuck ever since.

Shotbeak Games!

I still do not know what eventually happened to it.

So… That is how it started. I have won several awards (most because of lack of competition), but an award is an award. The most astonishing achievement was when Roach Toaster won GM-showcase’s book competition. I beat 24 other competitors to walk away with 3 programming books.

So here I am sitting in early ‘007. What are my plans for this year?

->I want to finish my site by mid January.
->I want to finish the long-awaited Roach Toaster 2: Big City!

->After RT2, I would most likely get to work on a total remake of Emola Mine, ie total re-design or start on a new project! Most likely I will seek out a suitable competition to enter to get some publicity.

->World Domination.

That is my plans for 2007!
